Yes, Elowyn is a fully-licensed childcare facility through Interior Health.
Upon registration a $100 non-refundable admin fee will be charged for purposes of establishing your child’s file and your families bank information. The Registration Fee does no secure your child’s space in our program.
Fee’s are processed the day before the first day of the month and are non-refundable. Upon registration, Elowyn requires one of the following; and EFT Enrollment Form with Voided Cheque, a Direct Deposit Form or cash payment of first and last months fees. If paying in cash, the last fee payment will be applied to your child’s final month of enrollment. *Your child is not deemed enrolled until we have one of the above payment methods in hand.
1) High quality care and support through your child’s development.
2) Drop-In availability for families enrolled on a part-time basis.
3) All learning supplies, materials and resources.
4) Visits from Community Professionals in the areas of Fire, Police, Rescue, Ambulance and Veterinary Medicine.
5) Cultural Experiences through qualified Guests and/or Elders.
If you no longer require our services 45 days written notice is required from the 15th of the month. For example, if you would like to discontinue services for October 1st , notice must be given prior to August 15th. Upon deciding to permanently remove your child from Elowyn you must fill out a Permanent Withdrawal Form available at your location. If you choose to remove your child from Elowyn before the 45 days is up, no refund will be granted.
We all make errors. Your child will still have care. We will promptly require cash or e-transfer with a $50 surcharge included to cover the bank fees. A $5/Per day fee will be charged for late payments.
Yes, in order to secure your child’s space you are required to make payment even while on holidays. We are unable to enroll another child while you are away as this spot is secured for your child. If you choose to discontinue care for a period of time we cannot guarantee your space will be available upon your return as other families may be waiting for care.
Unfortunately we are unable to hold your child’s space. In order to maintain your child’s space, you will be required to pay for the months leading up to the date you actually require care.

-The Daycare is licensed for 25 children per day.
-The Out of School Program is licensed for 20 children per day.
-The JR. K program is licensed for 25 children per day.
-Each Infant-Toddler room is licensed for 12 children per day.
-Infant/Toddler: Ages 0 – 3 years.
-Daycare/JR. Kindergarten: 36 Months/3 Years to School Age.
-Out of School: Kindergarten to 11 Years.
Infant Toddler: 1 teacher for every 4 children enrolled. Daycare and JR. K: 1 teacher for every 8 children enrolled; Out of School Care: 1 teacher for every 12 children enrolled.
All staff members will have a valid criminal check and first aid. At least one Early Childhood Educator will be on site at all times. All assistants will have completed at least one ECE course. All Staff will have a passion for early childhood development.
